Spain

Galicia

The club has a fair amount of experience in paddling in this area having been there for 3 consecutive years and has experienced a fair variety of levels ;-) The character of the runs (I am told) is generally steep and challenging, similar to Scotland or Wales. All of the trips have been over the winter where temperatures are around 10C during the day and you need to pray for rain as there is not much snowmelt in that region. The transport is by can and evil ferry, which takes around 1.5 days each way. Accomodation is generally sleeping rough, which is apparently welcomed by the Spanish.
