This year, quite a large group went off on an adventure to Nepal. The team consisted of

but below is a summary of the rivers from Dr Scott.


 River: Trisuli
 Grade: 3+
 Description: Big bouncy rapids if high
 Advice: Fun in high water, otherwise don't bother

 River: Upper Seti
 Grade: 3/4
 Description: Pretty river with playspots. Grade 5 drive to get in. I think this beats the Toloume. Surely this isn't
              the right road???
 Advice: 1 testing 4+ rapid

 River: Kali Gandaki
 Grade: 3/4
 Description: Great overnight trip, good grade 4 on day 1. Two big rapids that you probably want to inspect.
              Especially the second one, Dav. Fairly easy second day.
 Advice: Try to get out above the lake!

 River: Lower Modi
 Grade: 4
 Description: Low volume creekin run.
 Advice: Be prepared for a long hike out!

 River: Marsyandi (upper: Ngadi to Khudi)
 Grade: 4+
 Description: Continous, fast, steep and powerful rapids.
 Advice: Nice playspot under the suspension bridge. Grade 6 drive to get out, hike to get in. Many tea shops on the way
         (start of the Annapurnna circuit).

 River: Marsyandi (middle: from Khudi to dam site)
 Grade: 4/4+
 Description: Not as hard as upper section, but still quite continous.
 Advice:

 River: Marsyandi (lower: below dam)
 Grade: 3/4
 Description: Playspots and isolated grade 4s interspersed with flat sections in beautful scenery.
 Advice: Don't relax too much! There are some holes to avoid!

 River: Balepi Kola
 Grade: 4-
 Description: Isolated low volume creek.
 Advice: Stay in the guest house at the get in if you want the full Nepali experience. Watch out for Maoists!

 River: Upper Sun Kosi
 Grade: 3/3+
 Description: Playrun with one or two rapids which require a little concentration.
 Advice:

 River: Bhote Kosi
 Grade: 4/4+
 Description: Steep and pushy medium-volume creek.
 Advice: One 5, which we portaged (may change during Monsoon).
